Top Ten
Top Ten Movies of 2009
So this is going to be the beginning of my movie list for the year that was 2009. Just so you know my list will be very eclectic, so some movies you will have heard of and many you won't. If you haven't invested in Netflix yet, you should. Its a great way to get caught up on movies and even get suggestions from members who have your same taste in cinema. The first movie on my list you may find a bit unconventional and odd. I am a fan of good horror, not gore, but horror movies that really are unique and different in its approach. Which is why my first entry is Halloween II. I know your probably puzzled but this is actually a good movie, which did pretty well and had a very modest budget. It isn't a remake at all, its actually a totally new movie in the Halloween franchise. Now, I kinda like what Rob Zombie does with his movies, he has a way of telling a story that pretty unique. Several years back he got the green light to remake the original Halloween and it had a great premise. What Zombie did was to explain the back story of Halloween. Who was Micheal Myers? How did he become a killer? His story had a nature versus nurture theme that carries on onto his sequel. The first half of Halloween was pretty successful, but he decided to change up the ending which is how the first film fails.
Well Halloween II, begins with an extremely violent and eye catching sequence that is probably the most memorable of the movie. Sadly the movie never captures the same intensity, but it doesn't fail us at all. Its more of a study of how our experiences mold us. The movie deals with the aftermath of the Micheal Myers before he finds his way home once again. Its two years later and Laurie is a mess. She is depressed and riddled with guilt over what Annie Brackett has had to endure as a result of the killings. In fact, the two girls have changed positions. Annie is now the mother and Laurie is the out of control teenager on a road to destruction with bad friends; and over indulgence in drugs and alcohol. The only thing out of place is Dr. Loomis who I thought was blinded by Micheal in the first movie and Micheal's visions of his mother and the younger Micheal. The ending was a bit of a let down, but I have to say this is a movie worth seeing.

Sexiness at its Best...
So I don't wanna be one of those gay bloggers that always posts pics of neked men, but with me working out and trying to change things up a bit. I find it somewhat inspiring to see pictures like the one posted. Which I will continue to do throughout my journey. I am also interested in photography and once I get things in control, I am going to start that new venture in my life. I am so excited and I can wait to share with you guys...
The Gays and Why They Get on My Last Nerve...
So I have this friend, well he was sort of a friend, from way back in the day. We didn't really talk that much but honestly I found him intriguing to say the least. My instincts are pretty good when it comes to people, but like most people I believe that all people are good at the core. However as I nearer to the age of forty, I should really know better. Well this so called friend is back in Atlanta and he found me on facebook, so we started chatting and texting. Fellow bloggers, let this be a warning to all of out there. If they cannot talk to you on the phone then it means they don't have much to say. It also means that they are hiding something behind the words they type. Well the first clue that he was potentially trash was him disclosing that he was horny and would like to see some dick and ass shots. I don't have any pics directly on my phone. But I have played with the best. So I was like sure we can exchange pics if u like because he actually is pleasing to the eye, and I assumed that he has a nice dick and ass. I am more interested in the hole, is it hairless or hairy. Is it tight or slightly open, with that pee-a-boo thang going on. Or is he a freak, whose hole has been used to the point of where if you play with it alittle does his lips swell up. I know, hot right...
Well, when I purposed the exchanging of pics he was like "I am a professional and I can't have pics like that of me floating around. Well, what the fuck am I? Gay decorum 101 states that if you want to see nude pics, you must have nude pics to share.
The second mistake this so called friend made was to ask me for pics, which I promptly told him my facebook page has plenty. His response was "their old." Not true at all. I even have tagged pics on there as recent as last month. That mutherfucker. Excuse my french, but why is it all that important for you see me if you don't even want to talk on the phone. Gay black men can be so superficial, it makes me sick. It makes my journey towards getting back to the ole me more important. Of course I am doing this lifestyle change for health, but honestly I want to have the right to tell all those fickle gays to "EAT IT BYTCHES!!!"
Wish me luck, and the next time you run across a fickle gay. Tell em for me (us) EAT IT!!!

New Year
I have done this before? I really want to become a better person. God took care of the first thing that needed to go in my life. A dead end job, in a toxic environment working with some of the worst gay black men anyone would ever encounter. As bad as it was, I never let go because it was safe. It was all I knew. Now, I am free to become everything I ever desired to be. I wasted about two months, one feeling sorry for myself and the next actually relaxing. However, it is time! Not because its the New Year, that's just a corencedence. Its just time. My focus is body, mind, and soul. My first goal is to get my body back in form. My health depends on it, I turn 40 in April and by then I need to be 30 pounds lighter. I want to have a big celebration to announce and preview a stronger, healthier, and better me. My next goal is employment, not just to be employed, but to invest in a career. With my employment, I want to then focus on a better me which will include skill development in graphic art classes, photography, painting classes, presentation skills, and learning Spanish. Lastly, to really learn the power of forgiveness. Not just to forgive others who have hurt me, but to forgive myself. Much Love to all of you, here's to growth...

A Single Man
A Single man is a rare find, and quite unexpected. Its based on a novel of the same title by Christopher Isherwood. It was adapted for the screen by Tom Ford, as well as being directed and produced by Ford. Ford who is a fashion designer as well makes a stunning debut. His stamp is all over this extremely stylish movie that subtly displays a life in the day of a man who has lost the love of his life. The players include Colin Firth as the title character and four time academy award nominee Julianne Moore as his best friend Charley.
A Single Man is about George Falconer, a college professor living in Los Angeles in 1962. The film opens with George awaking to another day, haunted by the memory of his decesed lover. A Single Man has a day-in-the-life structure, with George going through the motions of random encounters with friends, colleagues and strangers(Most notable is Julianne Moore as George's fag hag, Charlotte, and Nicholas Hoult as one of his students. The movie plays like an Afred Hitchcock movie and at times as an elaborate music video where the non-verbal speaks louder than dialogue could ever. The tension increases throughout the movie up until its shattering final moments.
This movie is a must see, its all about the appreication of life and how the past can consume us if we don't understand our purpose and have clarity on what the future can bring.

At this moment.
So this is my story and I am sticking to it. I am a gay black man living in the ATL trying to make a life for himself. Its been hard. Dealing with the dating scene and the creazies who claim they want one thing but really don't so I am not buying into anymore. I am making healhty adjustments that will enable me to enjoy life. So I will start from this day. I will include a few flashbacks from time to time to clue you in on my development as a gay black man.
